People are always worried when confronted with the possibility of walking into bankruptcy court. They've likely never had to go there in the past, and are apprehensive about being confronted by their creditors. The reality is that most Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases are largely administrative in nature, without involvement by the judge or any lawyers outside of the one who helps the consumer file for bankruptcy.

The meeting of creditors is usually over in a matter of minutes, and a good lawyer will prepare you by giving you a list of questions that may be asked.

In sum, the process can be very simple when handled by a competent bankruptcy lawyer.
